Cement
Cement is a material that has cohesive and adhesive
properties in the presence of water. Such cements are called hydraulic cements.
These consist primarily of silicates and aluminates of lime obtained from
limestone and clay.
Types of Cement
There are different types of cement as classified by the
Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS)
1. 33 grade ordinary portland cement
2. 43 grade ordinary portland cement
3. 53 grade ordinary portland cement

(C) Extra rapid hardening cement
(d) Low Heat port land cement
(e) Portland Blast furnace slag cement
